A well designed background or texture can be an invaluable resource for a designer. Indeed one of the greatest tests of a designer’s skill is their ability to transform or conform a simple base image into a work of art. Textures, whatever they are made from, and in whatever capacity they are used can add distinct visual impact and style on websites, mockups and anything else design related that you can imagine. They can create explosive and complex designs, or subtle, stylish statements of someone’s signature visual style. Truly the web would be a bland place without them.
