Thanks Boris.
1. No. 2. I think many, if not all of the the authors on ThemeForest are amazingly gifted. I also realize that ThemeForest can be a gift for the non-business like people when first starting out, but …
I see a lot of great author using this site as a crutch when they can beef up their marketing skills and make a lot more money.
3. Thanks for being interested in my posts.
You have a good theme. Although plain, it is very professional. There are much worst sites already on ThemeForest. The review process is just a game to make them look better. They have more than enough sheep to publish stuff for the next ten years.
Like I said before on another post: Try selling your site on your own with PPC . Not just will you make more money, you will avoid playing games with ThemeForest.
LOL !
About 102, or is it 104. Stopped counting in 1949.
It is a great site. I would tell them [edited by mod: language] and learn to sell your templates using PPC . These guys are making huge money off this stuff. Lucky they have so many ignorant talented people who can’t take their game to the next level and learn marketing.
I guess not
I am trying my best to research how much money you can make on Themeforest, and what would get approved/disapproved. Clearly I am having a hard time with both.
The top 10-20 seem to be able to make a living with there themes… but are they individuals or large organizations? Obviously the bottom of the rung make nothing, but does anyone know a conservative estimate of what an average WordPress developer will make in the first three months, assuming 1 template gets approved each month?
Also, looking at all the wonderful WordPress themes, I notice most are very similar in looks and functionality, especially the top 20. How does one get approved when everything looks alike? Will sites without tons of JavaScript code get rejected just because it is simple in functionality?
Would love to hear some great advice from the real pros on Themeforest.
