Sorry, but the design is nowhere near the required quality. If are not able to see it and you think there’s nothing aesthetically wrong with it, then that only proves, that you need to study A LOT more about webdesign.

It’s not terrible, of course. There are some good things and it’s hard to give any specific feedback, but I would focus on typography, white space, ...

Also, search for more-recent designs for inspiration.

One of the main thing is that for Envato market PSD template – all fonts should be set to “Smooth”, well after 12 years in design industry, I understood for myself that when you show a template with smooth fonts, and then you slice it to html there is a big difference after. That’s why I use sharpen fonts like “Smooth None” – I apply to font. Client see 1:1 PSD -> HTML – no difference – and it’s better for user expirience.

And you are in design industry for 12 years? What have you been doing, serving coffee?

There is absolutely no rule about setting fonts to “smooth” for the theme to be accepted. Actually, the whole thing with font antialiasing is much more complicated than you seem to understand, since every browser does this differently (also depends on OS) and Photoshop is kinda crappy with AA, so designer should be careful with this and when to use sharp, crisp, or strong AA.

Seriously man, your template is not bad, it’s just not good enough, it has poor typography (I wonder why are you pointing finger at others when you don’t have the knowledge to judge). Using many fonts isn’t generally a good idea, I don’t know why did you bring this up as an excuse, but much more important is the harmony between the fonts, how you use them and you obviously don’t have much experience in this.

Typography and white-space is absolutely the main issue in your theme. Learn something about it.

Do you think it’s a good idea? Could it increase the sales of the WP? Did anyone try this before, and if so, what were the results?
