I was thinking the same thing about icons. I just included five icons in my latest flyer design.
I also thought that I can’t create a new icon set for each flyer I design, that would be ridiculous. So I used five icons from a free Unlimited commercial license set and added a link to the full set in the item description. That way my customers could also simply exchange the icons should the ones I chose not meet their exact needs.
And I was also planning because To use those same icons for upcoming flyer designs.
However my item got “temporarily held” in the queue … So Now I started doubting whether maybe the reviewer disagreed with that policy…
We’ll see once I get the feedback

Thanks Ivor!
You didn’t think that you’d get away with it without notice now did you? Favourite activity for most authors with a file in the queue is: f5 … what no change … ctrl+f5 … hmmmm … ffff555555 …. hehe

This is why! http://graphicriver.net/forums/thread/ftp-space-upgrade/54416
That was a month ago! I don’t think that can still be the issue… I vote for the seasonal hot wine

Hi all,
One of my files has been “temporarily held” so I have been monitoring Progress quite closely over the last 24 hours and it seems that since my file was put on hold not a single new item has been Accepted at GR!
Has GR come to a grinding halt?
Maybe my file caused some sort of server combustion – I managed to squeeze it into a 498MB zip …. Too close to the limit? Lol

obviously a file is a very high quality. So I would assume that the first message is simply the standard response.
The second message is probably the one that matters. And that probably means that whatever you do, you will not get a video player skin accepted here at the moment.
We’ve had some strange rejections here lately of really great quality files. Honestly, I’m not too sure what to make of that either …
My best advice is to ask for a detailed explanation from the reviewer by a support ticket. I don’t think you will find anyone here will tell you that the file does not have the quality.

I like it, too! Good job

Actually I think GraphicRiver has come to a grinding hold. My file has now been held longer than it was under review and since it has been held, almost 24 hours, there has not been a single new file appeared on the front page … I think something might have gone pear shaped … Or everyone is already on Christmas holidays

What’s important is not actually the Screen size itself, but the resolution you view it at.
Considering that android runs on mobile phones as well as tablet PCs and that these can be turned for either horizontal or vertical view you really cannot just designed to one single size.
Your UI should be flexible to adapt to different sizes.
A good rule of thumb is that modern mobile phones and Tablet PCs have:
1) between 768px and 960px horizontal width when viewed in Landscape orientation
2) between 480px and 768px horizontal width when viewed in portrait orientation
The very latest devices have even higher resolutions, as we know this all changes as time passes…
So I suggest that you design with flexibility in mind. If you look at many UIs you will see that they actually only consist of elements, which are then stuck together depending on need.

I like it, nice job!
A couple of comments:
1) nothing at all on the back? It may make sense, but it may also be cause for rejection if the reviewer feels that one side is too little
2) I think the 3-D effect on the pages is not 100% correct. They look like thick sheets and not like thin paper. I think finer lines would help here:
But that’s just nitpicking, overall I think it’s a very nice job.

in the top version I don’t much like the funds in “big fashion sale”. I think they don’t go together. I also don’t like the lights top left, but that may just be personal. Actually looking at it three times I like better now, lol
In the bottom version I don’t like the mirror cutouts, they look Like a quick draft, not enough detail on that. Same goes for the bag, it looks like the cut out with the drop shadow.
I guess that’s what they mean when they ask for more detail on the graphics. It could simply go with more polish overall.
Other than that I do think overall it’s a nice idea and that with the missing polish it will get accepted.
Keep at it!
Cheers
Chris
