please i need some insight. do i need to send to google DMCA direct link where my copyrighted file can be downloaded or do i need to send the link of giraffe site where the links to download file are stored? thanks
When you use the Google tool, it leads you to a form where you can submit multiple direct links for one file, you can also include the download links., that are on those sites…..Hope that helps

loswl saidWhy don’t you send DMCAs to only giraffe sites then? You also send them to Google because you want to minimize exposure of the page through Google… the same applies here.
graphicmind saidOK, but DMCA ’s are normally sent to Envato not Google on people who rip files and upload them here, so the Google rules would not apply, unless for some reason, they sent the request through Google, which would not make much sense?!?
loswl saidI meant DMCAs sent to Google due to ripped files that have been uploaded here.
GraphicRiver will not be affected by this. This only affects DMCA Notices sent to Google through their DMCA Removal of Infringing links tool, which can be found here: http://support.google.com/bin/static.py?hl=en&ts=1114905&page=ts.cs
I stopped sending request to Giraffe sites, I get quicker results with the Google tool, but I get your point, the new Google rules can potentially affect Graphicriver, if people steal files and sell them here…and it should.
That was a mistaken request sent in by me in July, but the link has been reinstated by Google, it was one of my own items LOL
That is a great link, I can see all my stats, thanks for sharing

so Freshkiller doesn’t work anymore?
That works too, but I don’t use it anymore because I never got good results, after spending hours looking for links, it refuse to send out letters to most of the links I found

zun1989 saidYou can use this template I made and send it directly to the site or the server who host the site: http://www.creativedonline.com/dmca-removal-notice-template/ or you can use the Google DMCA Removal tool http://support.google.com/bin/static.py?hl=en&ts=1114905&page=ts.cs
How should i complain about this giraffe? I think i found 1 of them. He kind of humped one of my favorite author’s donkey! Hope i making sense![]()

So if you see your stuff on those Giraffes/Baboon sites, use the Google DMCA tool.
The new rule only works when a lot of complaints are sent into Google, therefore you will not see quick results, but the more people send in complaints on a particular site, the quicker the results will be to get rid of those annoying Giraffes!
Those links are coming from people who are following you, they are generated by the preview box at the top right of all Envato sites, therefore your item will show up on Audiojungle and from Codecanyon, etc., these links also show up in Google searches….Genius who built this system!!
I don’t think the voting system from buyers would be good for this website, some buyers don’t know basic design rules, basically they would vote on what looks good to them, which can be very subjective. The reviewers here seem to be extremely objective in the review process in that they follow certain design rules and criteria in order for a design to pass, whether they like the subject matter or not.
Nice, very nice!!
