So can someone tell me STRONGER reason why SOME themes ARE accepted some like mines are NOT. I mean seriously…
I’ve deleted few hours ago StarTravel PSD template, will do rest soon if Envato Support will not take action on this situation. Non sense at all. 100500 multi-purpose themes accepted, mine only 2 PAYDAY themes on WHOLE marketplace with nice sales and customers interest is not accepted.I agree with Finaly-Destiny that mine design maybe not that clean or totally cool, but it was accepted here as PSD. So what did I did as author wrong? If that would be a copy of mine previous why it was accepted even as PSD?
I would suggest to contact Support and talk with your reviewer. I watched the history of your items and they are full of detailed feedback. You just need to improve your designs.
Please take your time to read these articles too:
Once you get an iPad you’ll never go back. Go for it, don’t think about it.
If you’re like me who likes to read/netflix-ing in the bathtub you should get this water/dirty/snow proof case – http://www.amazon.com/Lifeproof-nuud-Case-iPad-mini/dp/B00GFGF4MW/
at the moment authors are using plugins as a way to sell their item “comes with 20 plugins with $2000” or “save $2000 on codecanyon plugins”....
at the end of the day it’s only hurting the marketplace, it’s the place where you can buy $2k worth of plugins for $58 which I can then use in any other site (there is nothing in place to stop me).Envato should be about quality items and not how much stuff we can buy to upload to a theme.
That’s a good point Gareth, I assure you that I will raise this concern to the Team.
Why? VC is not myn, no use for that and if competition does it and i don’t i lose.
I am not speaking for one item, this is where envato needs to go, no plugin bundling (unless part of the theme). All CC items can be bought and downloaded by the buyers, they then get a purchase code and it stops the crap that happened with one of the sliders not so long ago, all theme authors are then on the same level and buyers get better service for their items.
I agree with Gareth, bundling plugins can open vulnerabilities.
These are not just multiple demos, they are indeed “more themes in one pack”. Different home views are different variations built on the same layout. That is the point here.
Multiple themes like multiple folders of different design niches / layouts? Can you please give me an example? If you’re willing to provide information please lodge a ticket and paste the ID here, I will gladly take a look and discuss it with the Review Team.
I understand your concerns.
Demo’s simply demonstrate what can be built with these flexible themes. They are no worse than demo data with loads of different pages. Essentially they are just multiple homepage layouts.Banning demo’s will not help the small time theme-coders compete with the large theme-teams and their big budgets. That is just the way competitive markets work.
Exactly, is not different than creating multiple Child Themes (which is the way to go) and creating a landing page to advertise what your theme can do.
This is a competitive marketplace and you guys are the creative force, we’re not here to axe your ideas.
I’d like to be more open about this but we’re still in the process of discussing what’s allowed and what not.
This is not allowed, the banner has been removed. We’re particularly careful with these banners but things like this can slip easily. Thanks for the heads up.
Thanks for the reply @Ivor. The banner has been removed by the author (the same author posted the update here, we appreciate his honesty) but the complains go beyond a banner advertising, is about Envato allowing selling multi themes products. Please read the previous comments in this thread to see what I mean.
Note: is not about being rude with other authors, is about how Envato as a company allows compete very different kind of products in same categories.Theme bundles vs Single themes. Is just not fair.
I understand your concerns. Unfortunately Reviewers cannot reject these items at their will without discussing it with Management. This is a delicate matter because there are a few items approved already and we need to set boundaries, write guidelines/requirements, etc. — With that said, this is already being discussed and I hope we can release an update to all of you really soon.
