Hey guys! I just noticed we’ve now passed 1500 WordPress themes here on ThemeForest!! What a huge number!!! In fact we are at 1510 right now, and I just checked WordPress.org’s free theme library and its 1508, which means there are now more themes on ThemeForest than on WordPress itself … kind of crazy!
The top theme on WordPress.org has been downloaded 13,417 times. Here on ThemeForest our top theme has been downloaded 11,658 times. That’s pretty close!!
Overall WordPress.org is still kicking our butts on total downloads however with some 45,116,229 total downloads. I think that number might be a little out of reach (at least for now 
) since if those were all $35 themes that would be like $1.5 billion in sales … might take a little while longer to reach that!
Anyhow, well done to all the WP theme authors!!!
