Extended License is nothing to do with original post here. Your buyer may endup clicking Regular license purchase button for 50 times.

No, it’s not officially what it’s meant for… but no-one is going to click and buy a regular license 50 times… buying 10 extended is the quickest way, and works out at the same price.

There definitely needs to be a bulk-buy option though, either that or some sort of shopping cart where you can then select a quantity before purchase.

Below is my opinion, I don’t work for envato:

Yes, ask the customer to purchase 10 extended licences and grant him 50 (or whatever) usages. Totally up to you.

I have done this in the past for customers who wish to have “mass multi-use” of my items. Just come to your own licencing agreement with the customer.

But yes, an Extended Licence on it’s own is not a “multi-use” licence.

There may be better multi-use options available later in the year as envato continues to improve the licences.

Few serious things needs to be considered. Purchasing an item not only helps making payment to the author and Envato but importantly grants appropriate license to the buyer. Different licenses exists to protect both the buyer and seller in different kind of implementations.

If we authors ourselves start encouraging buyers to approximate the way they see the license, then it may go out of hand some day.

So I would recommend requesting Envato to expand the buying options and just say the buyer that “We are not evolved that much yet, so please press the button 50 times”.

Or he can pay me to press that button 50 times.

The cost of an Extended License on TF is 50x the cost of Single License, not 5x. So if they want 50 licenses, it would just be a single Extended License purchase.

The OP posted on Code Canyon, so I assume that’s the license he was referring to, but I just wanted to throw this in.

At least this is a good problem to have, I would love to have customers that follow the licensing agreements and purchase the correct number for their projects :D
