Advertising system on frontpage

Hi all,

Is there a possibility to implement an advertising system for items on front page? I mean, I see allot of complain about new items exposure time on front page and a paid system would be a good idea. For example: I can pay 1$ or 2$ to display 1 or 2 days one of my item on front page. Can be limitation also: you cannot advertise more them few items on a week. This limitation prevent top authors to advertise all of their items and flood the system. Also can be an option to advertise your profile. For example some dollars for 1 or 2 days.

I thing this will be a win/win situation Envato earn money we buy exposure that generate sales and finaly money

What do you thing about this Please let me know your opinion

1 or 2$ for one or two days? I think it is tooooo cheap, so there will be thousands of files in queue for this advertising. So You may wait more then 1 year to get there.

EDIT: anyway I don’t think this is a good idea to sell frontpage possitions. I like it as it is.

1 or 2 dollars its just an example, stuff decide that and no queue just week limitation

Yes we all want more exposure, but one of the things that I love most in the marketplaces is exaclty this – no advertising!

There’s plenty of other sites that one can promote his work, you can even do a Google campaign if you like
