hey,
I’m looking to get aMember Pro so I can send emails to members of a blog (20k+ users), I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations about the system, is it good/bad?
Its going to be used without the membership feature but I’m just wanting it so users are validated so when I send emails they dont bounce and cause bad marks on the email ranking system.
Thanks for any feedback in advance.
aMember is not dedicated to email marketing, they’re good with memberships.
I would personally not use it for this purpose, but would advise to go with any of the big players (Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor, Aweber… especially Mailchimp, it’s awesome

I agree with the above. Also, from my experience, aMember is a terrible piece of software.
We use sendgrid and regularly send + 30,000 emails
I don’t recommend it. Besides, wasn’t aMember Pro the plugin that Envato used to do memberships that stored passwords in plain-text format? If so, hopefully the plugin author has since changed that practice?

aMember 3 stored in plain text, but it was fixed in aMember 4.
