Hi All,

I’m super excited to have found this site, so many great options for my businesses’ use. However, I am a complete Noob. I am able to replace the text in the flyer, however, the generic logo and image files are the items I am having trouble replacing with my own.

On the layers tab, it states to paste the image – but I’m really unsure as to how to do that. My usual CLTR -C & P aren’t working.

If anyone knows of a tutorial that could help me out with this, I’d be most grateful!

Thanks in advance for your help. I’ve searched the forums, but haven’t come up with the solution yet….

All the best!

Try Ctrl+V to paste.

If you struggle with your item, try contacting the Author of the flyer via their profile page, however please note Authors do not have to provide support, but most will :)

Hi justleftpub,

It depends what type of image you’re looking to paste into the template. If it’s a whole image (not a person for example) you need to use the crawling ants/selection tool to select the whole image before copying and pasting. This is the top left icon on the toolbar, by default it’ll be a dotted-lined square – click and drag to make the selection, followed by copy and paste as normal (ctrl+c / ctrl+v or edit > copy > paste)

If it’s a part of an image, a person within a whole picture for example, there are several different ways of doing it. You can try using the quick selection tool, or even the magic wand tool (not really recommended), the pen tool, or masks etc. The pen tool is arguably the best way of doing it, but can be quite tricky and time consuming to start with.

Here are a few links to have a look over:

and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oEEsNMrV_ds

Hope that’s of some help

Mrkra, Thank you for the info.

I had obviously tried the standard copy/paste method – and reviewed the tutorial page, but hadn’t located anything related to my specific issue. (and I also messaged the author, but hadn’t heard anything back yet – I don’t they aren’t required to assist – just was hoping..)

You have helped immensely. Thanks again.

Hi justleftpub, I actually replied about an hour or so ago, guess you haven’t seen it at the time of your above post. :) Most of the authors we always give support and I understand some of you might have tough deadlines but you got to also understand guys that as all people we’re not 24/7 in front of the screen and an internet connection, especially when it’s the weekend (I just came in from a trip actually) so a bit of patience is required. And of course always take into consideration a possible time zone conflict.

Something I forgot to mention in my reply: Logos we place in the brochure templates in most cases are not supposed to be editable, they work just as a placement sample of your own logo.

Cheers :-)
