Can't make your website profitable?

Then the logical thing to do is blame your users.

No doubt many of you just received the same email I did.

Not being funny, but sending a mass email to your user base telling them how you have now allowed us to keep our referral links which (oh so sadly) has lost you $500 per month – after you let us spend months uploading stuff with ref links, doing all the work etc – and then blaming us that your website doesn’t pay? Pfft.

Then, to top things off, singling out a user and threatening to ban him and others for the using short urls? Do you want people to upload or not?

I wonder why people aren’t making these illusive icons you think will propel you to profitability – why not actually do something yourself rather than dictating to your users that to keep their ref links and to keep their accounts they must drive more traffic to your site.

If you can’t pay your $60 per month hosting bill, there is something sadly wrong, but the blame does not lie with your users.

I think I need to add ‘Build a new community site for authors to promote’ to my to do list.

Whenever you are ready to do the community site, let me know I’ve always wanted to build such a website, so maybe we can do it together “if you want of course :)”, and it would be a great tool for most users on GR to promote their works

I am also interested in building a website similar to the ones you guys talking about…if help needed let me know…I am here to help.

I agree 100%! I am here to help you with a community site, I will post, share, make freebies, make adverts. Anything really, I just want something new

EliIsakov, MikeMoloney .. I’m Up for it guys we need a place where we can advertise our items in a better way, instead of the little hours “sometimes minutes :P” of exposure you get on GR homepage when you first post your item..

I’m thinking of an endless gallery with a “load more” button at the bottom, with big and nice thumbs
