I can’t remember if a working contact form is requested by buyers for site templates… actually I see many of the HTML templates don’t offer such a feature.
If I add one, do you think I will receive emails such as:
- “Why there is no contact.html file in the purchase package” (since it should end with .php in order to function)?
- Or “The contact form in the template isn’t working” (since the buyer didn’t know he should put it on a php server)?
I offer a working contact form (contact.php) and I often receive emails from clients who have trouble because their hosts disabled the mail() function.
I think clients expect a working contact form and to be honest it’s not very difficult to code such a contact form.
You should state that the client needs a php server to run the contact form script.
Do yourself a favour and include a contact form – its not hard to include these days. If you don’t, your sales will suffer.

The contact form was coded a long time ago, I was just wondering if it should be working and if I will experience the above questions. Thank you!
