Corrupt PSD File

Hi All,

I was working on a psd file and i saved my file closed my photoshp and when i tried to open the file i get this message “Could no complete your request because the file is not compatible with this version of Photoshop”?

If anyone would help that would be great!

Did you close photoshop and open it again? some times is a bug Or is the file extension .psd?

I was working on a .psd file extension i saved it and then closed it, and when i tried to open my psd file i got that message.

What version of photoshop do you use? Can you open it in another (lower) version? Try on a trial (lower) or ask someone to help you

using cs5.1, I uninstalled it re-installing it again, yeah i tried it on cs4 same issue.

at the end of the name of the file is there a .psd extension?

no…but like all my other psd files it has a psd icon file image

Make a backup of original file and open a copy in SAI Paint tool. See if it helps

Thanks It opened on SAI , but it doesnt look the original psd file I saved as psd and quality of it is not that good, is there any other programs that open psds?

Paint.NET, Gimp… Try those Wish you good luck
