Hey guys,
Right so my brother and I are looking to open our own clothing brand and are having a bit of trouble. We have a design, and I’ve done say a 20 minute sketch of it onto Photoshop using a photo and drawing over it, but it looks a bit out of place in parts…

If you look at the top right, you can see little nudges where it’s not perfectly rounded. How would I go about fixing it so it is perfectly rounded and the edges do not have these overlapping problems? Just to basically clean up all the lines and make it cleaner?
Is there anyway to make the lines smoother? What we’re looking to do is grab some designs, get them on the PC and print them eventually onto T-Shirts, hoodies etc. I’ve heard Illustrator may be better?
Bring the current sketch into illustrator and Live Trace it – Object > Live Trace > Tracing Options After tracing, you can use the Smooth Tool (in the same section as Pencil Tool) to smoothen the lines.
Or you can just redraw it in illustrator – if you know how to use the pen tool.
You should be able to find tutorials online for doing either of the steps above. Will this improve it definitely? If so, I’ll go buy Illustrator tomorrow.
