Okay, so planning to get a dog for a companion at some point which I think would be wonderful for me. I usually hang out at home, often go for jogs or to the beach. I have a below average active life, looking to bring that up since doing videos all day has become hazardous to my health.

I’ve done a bit of research and found a Labrador retriever to be fantastic and perfect for me lifestyle. I’m more than happy to play fetch for half an hour every day, they’re temperament is excellent since I work near a day care centre (literally next to our office) which I can take the dog there to play with the kids and keep them busy for a bit during the day.

Just wondering if anyone has a Lab who can share some more light on this? I’m aware of their costs, health issues, vet costs and diet issues but I want to know about training. I’ve heard they’re easy to train, just need to know if there’s anything I haven’t mentioned that I should know. I’m planning to get a puppy as I would need to train him / her to be great around kids / other dogs.

Hi Sharky,

Well from my experience with them they are great dogs but they need a lot of attention since they do get bored and when they get bored you have a problem. The tend to destroy anything including ripping of car bumpers :) Other then that great dogs easy to train and very good with children if they have been trained.
