Educational Book Design For Guitarists

Hey everyone I’m Rex Pearson from the guitar website www.rexpearson.com and am looking for an expert designer who understands exceptional design and function within a book thats launching this summer. I need a template made for an iPad book that will be made using iAuthor thats being created around my beginner guitar course.

The book will be called “Beginner Guitar Course: Guitar 101 with Rex Pearson”

Im a big fan of Apple and their designs and layouts and there are a couple of brochures on here that have caught my eye that could work being re-designed so that it fits the purpose of an educational book. Id like to meet a designer who shares the same passion for clear simplified yet beautiful design so that the books can be really easy to read and for people to use.

Theme colours of website are Black, Red, Green

I would need a Front Cover – Clear simple clean, most likely a textured gradient background with a nice type face font for the book. Bold and simplicity on the cover please see links below for ideas

4 Page layouts minimum for the various sections but if you have ideas on what you would like to do I’m open to discussion – internal sections of the book should have a textured clean background for the text to be placed. details of 4 page layouts below

1 For chapter introductions which need to include space for the video lesson to be placed (perhaps a nicely designed content box for the video) The introduction has a title, subtitle, lesson aims on the left and then the video lesson on the right ready to be watched. Text and content then follows on the next pages

1 page with header (similar to a content box) and single column text layout for when pictures and illustrations are being used similar to a web page layout 1 2 column layout for text 1 chapter review design where the question and answer widgets will be embedded into the fabric

All designs must work together and will all eventually be places into iAuthor so an understanding of this program would be useful as text boxes will need to be reformatted from a photoshop/in design file to iAuthor

Id be keen to see portfolios of anyone interested in working on this unique design project
