Embedded fonts in PowerPoint Templates?

Hey Everyone! I’m pretty new here (one active month, really), and I have a question that I think could create quite a discussion. The thing is this: PowerPoint 2007 and above allow users to embed all the fonts used in the file, to allow for total font compatibility across systems. However – can we sell a Presentation Template that includes embedded fonts, especially as everyone uses free fonts?

I’ve just uploaded my first presentation template, and I decided to simply include that this feature was available at the very end of the lengthy instructions PDF , to simply inform the user that they could choose to use this feature, if they so wished (the user would have to download the free font from the provided link first). It would be easier for both authors and the buyers if we were allowed to embed the fonts required in the file as PowerPoint intends and allows us to do, and then buyers wouldn’t have to worry at all about if they had all the required fonts installed.

But, I have no idea if we are allowed to do this or not – sure, the fonts are free, but would some piece of licensing agreement prohibit any of us from being allowed to do this? And above all – does Envato mind?

W can’t embedded any font in our Main File although is Free Font. Like what you saying, user would have to download the free font from the provided link first.
