Very good move.
C4D section gives a wonderful exposure.
I personally increased my exposure and AE sales after uploading C4 files.
It’s a long term investment, but i prefer to be there.
When I started uploading Projects files on Flashden (now VH), best sellers where with After effects .
But in the Motion Graphics category.
My file is in the queue
Peace.
Arthur
Love your work in both categories….

When I first joined, about three years ago, there was a competition to boost the number of After Effects project files. If memory serves, after the competition there were around 170 After Effects templates.
Looks like the same deal here. There won’t be far short of that in the C4D category once these 30 are in. And look at After Effects today.

This timing is so horrible for me
In the middle of moving and wont be getting my workstation for at least 4 weeks… Good luck to all you lucky folks tho!
Good idea! I’ve been meaning to upload something for a while and this finally gave me the push I needed.
I’m curious as to the process from here – what is the typical amount of time for the review/approval process? Could there already be more than 30 new items in the review queue?
Mike
Nice, this is a perfect challenge at the perfect time!
is it mandatory to submit AE projects with the C4D files?

Last time I checked it was, but I don’t think it should be. It’s requiring a user to need a second piece of software, perhaps unnecessarily.
You can put an edit together in Cinema with a Stage object and you can apply effects too, albeit in a fairly limited way.
Not requiring AE would also simplify the process of creating the projects and working between two applications.
I think initially it was a political thing to provide a distinction from 3D Ocean. But I think the distinction is clear. VH’s focus is motion graphics / moving image, 3DO’s focus is models and tools. Elements and building blocks, if you like for the user working in 3D.
Can we confirm the requirement of having an AE file? I looked around and couldn’t find this stated. It does make sense to differentiate Videohive/3D from 3D Ocean, and a clear definition of the different intentions would be very helpful for sure.
Also, as this is about C4D specifically, I’d suggest adding more specific C4D version/modules/bundles to the specification popups, as well as adding C4D R13 to the options list.
