Hi everyone!
I’m developing an “Author Packet” resource that will be made available to all marketplace authors. This will include everything from documentation templates, to API wrapper classes, etc.
I need your help in deciding what you’d like to see included here. So far, we have:
- Author HTML documentation template
- PHP wrapper class for API usage. Other languages maybe?
- Pexat’s purchase verification tool
- FreshKiller DMCA takedown app. http://killer.freshface.cz/
What else?
Update – view the wiki page here: http://wiki.envato.com/selling/tips-selling/essential-resources-for-marketplace-authors/
- Community Moderator
- Won a Competition
- Author had a File in an Envato Bundle
- Author had a Free File of the Month
- Item was Featured
- Grew a moustache for the Envato Movember competition
- Author was Featured
- Bought between 100 and 499 items
- Referred between 200 and 499 users
Great idea! The DMCA auto-takedown app: http://killer.freshface.cz/

Though, now that I’m thinking about this, it might be better to limit it to a wiki thread. That way, we can link to the Github repos (or something similar) to get the latest versions of each release.
Either way, I’m working on some form of Author Packet.

I like that, chances are we won’t need the entire packet every time and may not want to store it on my end to miss out on updated tools.

That’s something important to think about. For the apps/tools which are to be downloaded, it is likely that they will be updated every so often.

Yep – and we’ll definitely link to dmcasender.com. We’ll also link to the most popular apps, like SalesDonkey.
