Dear friends,

which is the best way to inform clients about file updates? I mean, I do not always know who bought one of my items, so is there a way to inform our loyal buyers about file updates when you have no info about the person itself?

There is no option for informing buyers yet. Simply add to the preview or thumbnail UPDATED and also write down a short note on description page ‘that this file has been updated and you can include what you modified’.

These are the best ways to inform your clients as of the moment till Envato includes an option for update-auto-batch email.

This is a matter that should be looked into by envato!!! It is surely gonna rise the site’s popularity even more!

@Teo: oh yes, it is! And I´m pretty sure that it´s on the top of Envatos list of improvements. What Charles wrote is the best info I´ve ever received so far, and the note of an update by auto-batch mail would be so important for all of us and so easy to implement, in my opinion. A few simple php tags, I guess? ;-) But hey, let´s keep patient and do let the guys do their work. By the way, greetings to Greece!!!

I would like to hear from a staff member if this is in fact something they’re looking to (eventually) incorporating… I have looked through a couple different threads asking similar questions regarding informing customers of updates to products they’ve purchased. Would just be nice to know for sure and to hear any insight we’re allowed to know… rather that us just guessing and assuming. I agree that this is an important feature. I flagged for a staff reply.
