Anyone here using Google Chrome? It’s their new web browser. You can download it here:
I’m using it right now, mainly because I wanted to try it out and be able to say that I’m using it while typing this, but also because Safari frequently goes on a memory-devouring rampage that can really slow my computer down..
Tried it briefly too, but I’m in Mac OS X 99 % of the time so I’m not likely to start using it soon. That said, when it is released for the Mac I’ll probably stick with Firefox because I rely on so many of the extensions to do my job.

I’m a mac user too, but I still prefer Safari, as with glimms installed it can still do quite a few of the things firefox extensions can. I do keep a copy of firefox for any heavy-duty stuff like downloading all files on one page etc.
I hope they get safari on windows bug-free. Those windows users don’t know what they’re missing…

Tom H, I am a windows (XP pro) user and I also use Safari. I do like the browser, but I find that it has a really bad memory leak and isn’t particularly fast either. Would you say that this problem is only in the Windows version? If so, I really hope that they iron those problems out in the future.
I’ve found that Firefox works faster theb CHROME on Windows XP Pro SP2 .
I downloaded Chrome to take my sites for a test drive. The only problem I found so far was that it broke the PHP form handler for at least one popular web host. It was a very strange error. The mail got sent, but the browser was forwarded to a server error. My guess is that the form handler has a dependency on an internal library that checks the UserAgent against a whitelist.
