How can I limit the width of lines in Coda?

Hey guys!

I am starting a new project with my team and we are defining some basic guidelines to write clean and maintainable code: charset, line endings, spaces instead of tabs, etc…

I am the designer / layout man so I will be continue using my favorite editor: Coda.

So the question is… How can I set a width limit based on number of characters to the lines of Coda?

Why would you want to limit the width of a line? Every one of you can turn “Wrap lines” ON so you don’t have to scroll horizontally…

You can set the Tab Width in “Text -> Tab Width” – that is more handy too you imho.

Yeah I know that functionality, but we want to use character number limitation, it forces you to write better and clean code and blahblabhal.

In addition some coders are using netbeans and other editors, not just coda.

You can use tab key and keep safe for future problems when more people works in the same file with different editors / SO

Each editor has a different default number of spaces for one tab so you need to set one standard for your team.

If I would tell this to our lead developer he would beat me with a stick.
