[How-To] Upload Preview Image

Hi guys, here’s a quick guide on how to upload your images to Imgur and consequently use the appropriate code & link to display your image previews.

By using this method, you are more likely to receive better and faster feedback from fellow authors, as no time is wasted on outside links.

Image Upload

In Imgur…

• Simply click on Computer and select the desired file from your computer.

• Once the desired file appears on the screen, click on Start Upload.

• The link you should use is the Direct Link.

Forum Code

Use the forum code below, replacing the direct-link-goes-here with your Direct Link from Imgur, or any other address linking to your image.

• All you have to do is add ! before, and ! after the link:

!direct-link-goes-here!

• The final image preview code should look something like this:

!http://i.imgur.com/vGaCY.jpg!

Troubleshooting

If for some reason you’ve made a mistake, or during the copy & paste process something was left out, don’t worry, you can still edit by simply clicking on the edit button on the bottom of your post.

Note: The edit option is only available for a brief period of time.

• You have to add the following HTML tags:

• The final clickable image preview code should look something like this:
