Hey Guys,

We all see how bundles sells well and better than the normal sales, how about envato enables the authors to gather their items in bundles and sell it directly in marketplace.

This will help the authors to gain more money than normal sales.

and will enable buyers to have great items in very low price,

what do u think guy?

The reason why the bundles so well is because there aren’t too many of them. If this happens, the marketplace will just become flooded with a lot of ‘bad’ bundles.

Of course, I might be wrong, but that’s what my instinct tells me!

Yes I agree, the reason bundles sell so well, is because they are promoted well and only happen once in a while with the best on envato. If people just did this freely, that spark would die off, and most likely would cause alot of issues…

Agreed with garethcoker and MikeMoloney. The bundles only work because of their relative scarcity.

Allowing two or possibly three (related) items to be paired up and offered at a discount when purchased as a package might be a nice idea. But allowing random bundles at crazy low prices would just result in everyone losing, as everyone would be forced to do that to compete, and the products would be completely devalued.

Items here are already cheap so if this ability is provided to all authors, it will become a contest for who can offer the most themes for the cheapest price. If you know anything about economics, this is a very bad tactic for everyone (except buyers). It will drive away authors and the revenue per effort/time ratio will go down dramatically, therefore devaluing author’s time.

TL;DR, no. :)

How about a new category for bundles, and each designer can make 2 bundles maximum, which will include their own files…and will contain a timeframe after which the bundle will expire..this wont flood this place with bundles and customers can buy lots of items from the same designer with low price, and if they like those items, they might buy more from that person.

This can actually increase the sales in here. I’d like to see opinions from buyers..

Our prices are already too low, already very near to the point of assumption “stock files are totally unprofitable”. With some unfortunate cases, the support requests from 2 out of 100 buyers can waste so much of our time and any high amount of sales wouldn’t be meaningful.

So encouraging bundles will result avalanche collapse for the industry. I am not sure how much traffic the current Envato bundle pulls but $20/500 seems to be a risky discount to trigger bad expectations from buyers. Hope such discounts will not be made too frequently, as that could result twisting buyer expectations to bad direction.

Agree with VF.

Also I think the Envato bundles should not be here for so many days :-(, 2 or 3 days should be good.

It is bad for buyers also. If a certain revenue limit is not reached, due to very low prices, many good developers will stop producing quality items since they have the knowledge to do some other job that is more profitable. So in the long run the buyers will have a wide choice of low priced items but few of them will be of high quality. In the years I read this forum most of the time the buyers ask for quality even if this means an increase in the item prices.
