Hello GR,

I am complaining about the over abundance of inappropriate thumbnail images of women – especially when searching for “Christmas Flyers.” GR should have more consideration of their business users. Think of your reputation…

Thanks! KG

flagrant… Envato should remove those posters right now. then ban those authors out from here. But before they leave they should say sorry here on the forum and show a deep and honest regret.

@dekurvajo I know you being sarcastic but you are out of line here. I happened to agree 100% with @kgrisez those images don’t make envato look good, on the other hand this problem been discuss before more then ones and envato didn’t do anything about it so I guess they’re OK with it.

Morality these day’s is hard to be found, way to many people can’t separate right from wrong, very sad. If only people study history…

Well…try to think about the product a little and on what type of “domain” is it created to be sold on ,I mean is better to have an attractive girl as a model to sell a flyer for example that represents a night club then a girl that doesn’t look “good”...it is all about marketing and what sells best ,an attractive lady will catch people attention ,well at least 50% of people,and 50% being men and the rest womens….But I’m not talking about pornagraphy here. Well I don’t know what are you talking about or more details but think of what I said as an idea to be considered. :)

Graphic river does not seem to be bothered by what these images might do to their reputation. IMHO they are sleazy, cheap, and encourage/foster an unnecessarily base tone in imagery of women which could easily be avoided with a rule or two. Would be nice if GR chose to be more discerning. How would it look if all the near-naked, glistening pics of women, were replaced with the same – but men? Strange? Why?

Hmm.

@Folksnet @kgrisez

First of all, i have to say sorry. Yes i became sarcastic and its unfair anyway. But here is my point: What kind of quality we talking here? If its technical then those flyers are match to the criteria. If its about a cultural stuff, values yes i agree. Those posters are on the bottom. And trust me, those author’s knows that very well. But in the other hand, those flyers are perfectly in sync with that expectation and demand which is comes from our actual society and its cultural level. Where those transexual Santa Nicolette on the flyer’s comes from? Those are not the manifestations of the author’s latent bisexuality, its a mere fact, a proof about our f.cked up culture’s disorder. But delimination never bring solution for this kind of problems. Probably, Envato should go to the other side, and support those items a bit more which are brings here real quality and values. Even if those items don’t generate immediately a truck of money for them. In think those items are seriously raising the generic values and the quality standard. But do Envato ever think about that, “hey… thats a really innovative and unique item. Let’s appreciate or recompense this author. Give him 70% instead of 50 for this item, and to others are well who really put valued items on the table. And its generating a serious traffic for us.” But until the commission rate strictly depends only on the sales, do not surprise if we see more tamed lust on flyers instead unchained creativity.
