Okay, for the ones interested my item was soft rejected – the reviewer asked me to include the .eps export from inkscape in the files.
From my (small) experience soft rejections mean that the item is acceptable in terms of quality / design but there is a compatibility or format issue to fix.
I have added the .eps and resubmitted the item – i will let you know how it goes. Hopefully the eps file works well with AI, giving way to creating graphicriver files with Inkscape!
