Just wondering if anybody has read any inspiring books? Maybe somebodies biography? With information that would help a business/freelancer?

“Screw Business As Usual” by Richard Branson. I’ve enjoyed all his books because they are written without fluff. Straight to the point and he is in my opinion a ‘realist idealist’.... or an ‘ideal realist’?

I recommend Rework and the free Getting Real online book, both by 37 Signals. Inspiring and insightful reading for anyone in the software/online business.

Also, anything by Seth Godin, including his blog at http://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_blog/

I know this is a cliche for a designer, but I really enjoyed Steve Jobs’ biography. The guy was nuts as well as a genius.

Agreed on the Richard Branson books too. If your into sci-fi then I’d defo give something by Stephen Hunt a go. Bargain if you have an e-reader, I recently discovered him… http://stephenhunt.net/?p=1384
