Hi! Just got my first attempt in here rejected and I must admit that I was even honored that someone had taken the time to actually look at it. The reason for rejection was this:

These items are nice but it’s not really an icon design as it’s colored buttons with text applied. We have decided that the item isn’t suitable for GraphicRiver at this time

With this argument, is there another genre in here that would fit the icons better? As I guess every rejected author in here I think they actually fit in the icons genre but I’m willing to buy the reviewers argument.

This is the item (although the image quality isn’t perfect): \\

Man the idea was that they are to boring and to simple ..so that is why they got rejected even if u want to change category they will still be rejected ,try makeing them more 3D or make them have a unique shape or something make them stand out more from other people worcks…hope you dont get offended or something like that and i hope that i helped you. :)

hi, this is a really nice item :)

I think the important sentence is:

“We have decided that the item isn’t suitable for GraphicRiver at this time”

So I don’t thinkit matters whether you submit this to the icon category or any other. I decided that there is no place for this at GR. So my advice is: move on.

It’s a pity, I also think it’s a very nice item, but some things are simply not for GR. If you look a few posts down, I recently had a business card rejected which also thought was pretty neat. It also simply does not have a place here … Or so it seems.

Cheers

Chris

Although I hope that if the reviewer considered them to boring and in need of a e.g. 3Dization he/she would say so, I still value your opinion and advice, thank you :) Absolutely not offended!

Not at all. If you read the reviewers reply you will see that he actually took the time to consider this because it is a quality item. They just didn’t know where to fit it in this marketplace as it doesn’t quite match the stuff that is usually sold here.

So “boring and simple” is simply not the reason – and in my opinion: they aren’t, I think they’re pretty cool. They’re just not “icons”.

It’s far to simple.

I would either leave this idea or modify it to actually include icons.
