Hi, so has anybody been thinking about the way that their files are being displayed to others (reviewers, buyers, other authors…)?

At the moment I don’t have access to a computer that is compatible enough for designs…I have a laptop with a very slow processor and just 512 RAM , so if I don’t wanna waste time I have to work my way through with CS2 even though it is, and I can’t stress this point enough, SLOW !

Anyway, I know this is just temporarily so I bear with it but, I made an item that is ready to be uploaded, now the problem is that I can’t know how the settings are on the reviewers computer or the buyers one (brightness, color…)...I have the feeling that on a brighter screen it might look TOO bright, and…You get the idea.

I think that THAT my be an often reason for all these rejections everyone is constantly complaining about…

I know that there is no technical solution for this problem, everyone has different settings and that’s the way it is, it’s just that it bothers me so I though I share this with you all…

Honestly, I don’t think I can agree on this one. I’m sure that reviewers are experienced enough to know that everybody has different settings and they would not reject file because on their screen it may look slightly darker or slightly brighter.

Also you can calibrate your screen, and I would assume that reviewers also have calibrated monitors. This way you know that you will be looking at an item but similar quality.

Personally I work with several monitors. I have a flat screen and also have an old tube monitor connected to my main work PC. Then I also always look at my files on my laptop.

Cheers

Chris
