Hello,
This is my first attempt at a cinematic orchestral trailer, “Carol of the Bells – Cinematic Trailer.” I was going to release it here on audiojungle but I am not sure that it is good enough. Do you guys think it’s worth a shot?
Here’s the link to it on soundcloud: http://soundcloud.com/guitarjock/carol-of-the-bells-cinematic

Hey GuitarJock,
I especially loved the increase in tension during the first 50 seconds of the song. It builds up really great with the steady tempo and the harmonics are really helping. The usage of that choir VST is an absolut buzzkill for me. I mean it just sounds so fake, and it kills everything that was built up till that point with precision and with really great dynamics. 1.34 just brings it all back to me, and it has a nice feeling with an overall increase in feeling and strength. Personally I just have a problem with the choir leading a solo. Plus I was just dying to hear some wild and aggressive tribal drums starting from 0.50 (bang-ba-ba-bang, bang-ba-ba-bang) – but that`s just my taste.
Anyway, great to hear and be able to comment on this kind of music, I always try to compose music in a similar fashion but most of the VSTs I own sound like banging on plastic toilet seats.

Thank you for the review. I am seriously trying to find a way to improve the song. From what I’ve heard so far, it sounds like everyone that listened to it agrees with the vocal part not being very good. I think I will be reworking that entire part. Thanks for the tribal drum idea. I might play with that idea.

Cool. Thanks for hearing out what I thought. By the way, I`m working on a song right now and I`ve uploaded a version here: http://soundcloud.com/signal-shot/signal-shot-children-laughing Care to check it out? Some insightful thoughts would be more than welcome…

Wow, I love the work you do with glitch! I have just started getting into this style of music and don’t have a lot of experience with it. My thoughts are that it sounds great. The guitar chords and the progression held my attention and kept me listening. I found myself wanting the guitar lines to stand out a little more in the mix, especially during the part at 1:40 – 1:54 near the end of that section. I also was wanting to hear a bit more supporting the overall melody of the song through out, like a little synth or something. But this is a really cool relaxing glitch tune and love the fact that you made the guitar the central instrument. Nice work.
Wow, thanks. I never thought that this would really appeal to someone. Most of the time I just post some music here and there but I get absolutely no feedback. Thanks for your comment, I really appreciate it.
Alright! Here’s the new and improved version of my take on a Cinematic Orchestral version of Carol of the Bells. I just re-uploaded it into the queue. I hope you guys like this one.

Hey! You have improved it quite a bit! It sounds really great. Love the crescendo that kicks in around 3.10. The only small thing I would do is give more depth (energy, strength, BANG ) to the toms, the low drum hits. The electric drum part at 2.05 is by far my fav moment. It is really unexpected and works really nice.
Thanks, it was your feedback that motivated me to work on it more. I was about to toss the darn thing, but when you mentioned adding more drums, it got me thinking. Once I worked the added drum parts, the rest of the song just built itself, if you know what I mean. I will have to work on the depth part next.
Thanks again for the great advice.
