Looks like a recurring dip

A little while ago there was a thread talking about dip in sales/customers. I pointed out that in September – November the amount of unique visitors decrease hugely looking at last years analytics.

It looks like the same is happening this year…

Last Sept: 71k uniques
Last Oct: 51k uniques (20k drop)
Last Nov: 39k uniques (12k drop)

Present Aug: 238k uniques
Present Sept: 119k unqiues (massive drop of over 119k! That’s exactly 50% of the site visitors gone!)

It doesn’t stop there. It looks like in November there will be more decline to the 119k present unqiue visitors.

This should mostly explain why the sales in volume hasn’t been as high as earlier in the year.

But if things go accordingly, December should be a boom period where I estimate the site would get around 500k+ unique visitors!

Your thoughts?

Very interesting.

Maybe the themes bubble is bursting. Hope not.

Well the december boost is obvious, since people suddenly have money to spend, or companies want to finish things before the end of the year, and let’s not forget all the holiday specials. We should all make use of that :)

I don’t think the bubble is bursting because it’s recurring but I wonder why it dips?

Well, it’s extremely high in late August/early September due to the Birthday Bundle. Then naturally, people stop visiting after the bundle and you get your dip. December rises again because of the rush to get things done before the year.
