Marketing campaign for a nutritional supplement company - something sexy and controversial

Hi guys, thought I might be able to get some ideas from this forum about this.

Me and a friend are setting up a website for the local area to sell Nutritional Supplements. Instead of just selling like normal, we also want to create a buzz around it with a campaign and some tshirts and goodies. We got a stall also in the summer like 2 months from now. Everything is in the process of being developed at this stage.

We need to come up with a “Marketing Campaign” and my feeling is to make it controversial and use sex to sell it.

Eg. Sometimes you see on Facebook in these groups for motivation, of girls in the gym in sexy ways etc etc – Eg. A picture of the lower half of a chick from behind by the weights rack. I want it to be like – “Controversial” “Tongue in cheek” and definitely “Sexy”

I have a bunch of friends who are hot chicks, I was also thinking of using them infront of landmarks in our city – but wanted to do something with a message, not just a chick infront of some random ass building posing looking sexy

The campaign could also be something stupid like a skinny dork, and then after he is superman … whatever

One thing I want to use as a selling point or to get attention is also, all these people who don’t lift, who say these supps are all bad, people who think protein is a drug etc etc – I’ve had a few g/f’s who thought that when they came into my apartment!

Any ideas for a marketing campaign would be appreciated

Your idea sounds good, but maybe it’s to “cliche”. I’ve seen many campaigns who have tried the “hot chick” idea. I will let you know if I can come up with something.

Also! Yes, I lift weights and the supplement I use is “Elite Mass by Dymatize”, do you have any info on the supplement

Yo Jackson, I agree – but I wanted to do it with a twist – not just as simple as I wrote of a chick standing there in workout clothes looking mean and lifting … I wanted to put a twist to it – be it tongue in cheek or really sexy/provocative. That’s more what I’m asking for -

I don’t know, I’m freestyling right now but a girl in a nun’s outfit BEFORE – and LATER she is working out – so it’s like a message, never judge a book by a cover … MAYBE

Another idea of a campaign could be something like a dude walking down the street – and some “gangster” wannabe’s in a group staring him out hating on him but then in speech bubbles in thoughts to themselves saying things like – “I want to be like him”

Coz as you know, we get a lot of haters too and a lot of people would relate to that and would draw controversy coz basically saying F U to haters who look at the poster

I can hook you up with Elite Mass, but I prefer Optimum Nutrition products dude, Serious Mass I use sometimes
