Hello everyone,

I saw the rumor about a new design for the Envato Marketplaces and started with some of my own ideas. Just curious what you think about it. It’s all quite simple, but I guess it’s the best way to show what I mean.

A new menu with for example a link to the potential inbox. The badge shows if you’ve unread messages. You’ll get a message if a purchased item has been updated too. It’s besides that possible to send messages through this system to other authors and such.

More statics and simpler.

Information about an item, displayed in a beautiful way. You might see the line ‘Version’, this would be a great addition, just like iPhone apps to update your files with additions or possible bugs or so.

A more complicated dashboard with for example a screen with your current balance and links to handy pages.

Perhaps a great idea for profiles: keep it simple but recognizable. Add more icons and perhaps a indicator of the main website of an author.

Remind that these pictures and text are just ideas, so please don’t think that this is official or so. And: the my input for the designer: keep it simple but beautiful. Thanks! :)

Looking good, though I can tell you already that your item-statistics’ panel is too small and way too designed. That is, it should be a clear, straight-forward HTML panel with certain CSS styles on it, but nothing more.

Information must be clear-to-see, read and find.

Overall it looks great though; I’d suggest you bake this up into a single layout to understand it all together.

Chris ;)

i’d agree the fonts are far too small, I like the 5th image though :)

Thanks for your reply Chris. Please keep in mind that this isn’t a really awesome design, since I just made something to display my ideas. But it might be a great idea to make a single layout. Thanks anyway! :)
