New Flash catalyst tutorial.

Just saw this on The Flash Blog. It’s technically a tutorial but it also serves as a pretty good product demonstration giving you a really good feel for how the app will work.

The Video is half an hour long so needless to say it’s pretty in-depth and goes into way more detail than any previous demos we’ve seen.

wow this is what used to be thermo right. It could save someone like me so much time. I have formed a habit for trying to design in flash and code instead of photoshop and when I stay up all night publishing a file 800 times after every bit of code I change to see if it works right then the client comes on and says hey change that his and that. And im like I spent 10 hours making it look and work like that. Geoken I must have pulished your file 800 times a night and drug it to the server to see what it looks like and to empty my cache 800 times and then all that. So finally when the client kept trying to be the designer and change stuff I went to photoshop and was like Im going to do as much as I can in photoshop and just make one big background image. and so I make all that functional and they change it again asking for things i think may make it worse.

I think catalyste is perfect for me, Ima check out this video. I need to speed up my workflow.. I hate 5 day deadlines for websties.. Im a 2 month type of guy

More like 30 minutes the video has to download…hey someone do me a favor and email the producer to put it on iTunes, I’d pay $5 for it….I’m also going to have a teacher at my school do a presentation.

When its came out ,i play with it little, after 5 min` I said what a toilet idea, who make flash web site like this today ? its like 6-8 years ago everything was on the timeline ,with 2-3 mb web site in size . You cannot bomb flash on the swf with size and all loading must be external and light as possible, but if you don’t know nothing about flash coding it’s a good start

Fantastic! Thanx for posting this. Definitely going to watch this. I have Catalyst in my CS5 Master Collection and was going to totally ignore it. But, why not give it a try? Thanx once again.
