Looking for a new Niche to apply your skills? We have just added the all new Packaging category to GraphicRiver and judging by the site search analytics, I have a feeling this relatively untapped category is going to do quite well.
Check out some of the awesome files already leading the way, then get going on your own
Just wondering what the logic is on the pricing of these? They seem possibly a little low? Will complex packaging artwork be scaled up in price accordingly?
I’ve got to second interspace. A lot of time goes into laying out a design on top of getting the math right for the dieline. If the prices were higher, I would definitely contribute (simple flyers go for more than these templates!). Excited for it having its own category though, wonder how well it’ll do!
^THIRD THAT !
I’m agree with previous posts. I think that complex packaging for those prices is not very serious. In my daily work I spend days for making one box and it is not only dielines, folding lines, right paper weight, right paper type, color testing, etc. I should make prototype and then test it with primary packaging (packed product). If I skip testing in development phase, then problems appears in store. Ok, for example I can make simple box set with editable design for creamy cakes quickly. BUT suddenly buyer will have his cake 1 cm higher than box height… With that I want to say that every product is specific. Let’s try to make packaging for cosmetic tubes. Yes, you need go to shop and buy different weights of papers or cardboards and find the right for every tube’s volume (and write it in tech spec file for buyer) otherwise tube will drop out of packaging (10 ml tube will be in 180 g/m2 and 250 ml tube will be in 320g/m2 for example and layouts, dielines will be different too). You should have good printer (large format) to print out and good skills to cut out, fold and test your packaging. In the same time designer who make party flyers don’t have testing for his flyers. Packaging designer should make layout, test it, and make design on that layout, but flyer designer only make design on ready layout. Price for flyers is higher, flyers rocks on sales, but packagings are rarely saled. Unfair. Ok, I take it too serious, but I think-client should have to buy good and valuable product. To make good packaging is time investing without return in this case.
RESUME :
Flyer template: 1. make design 2. layout is ready. Price and demand is higher.
Packaging template: 1. make design; 2. make layout. Price and demand is lower.
Sorry for my very skeptic post and my English too. Thanks

Can we switch category to existing items, wich now are appropriate for that category? What are the most important differences with a mock-up?

Woohoo! Finally!
Actually just a few days ago, I was thinking that a category to put stuff like CD covers in and the like, would be amazing
So cool category, but I think, as our friends say, the creation of a packaging adds another level of applicable knowledge to a photoshop design, that must be recognised with a price revision.
Is my honest and humble opinion…
