An official answer from staff would be good but I think it’s not allowed yet as there’s no option of CS5 in ‘Minimum Adobe CS Application’ option on the upload page.
i think photoshop can open psd even if they are made with a higher version… not so sure about it but i think it is possibile… maybe is better to wait for an official answer from envato’s staff
Photoshop can open PSD files from any higher version but everytime with errors. I tried this thing many times but without good results.

I have already asked if I could upload CS5 files. You will have to wait until Envato upgrade their system/software. The answer came direct from GR management. Raincutter is correct.
I Think it’s not allowed yet since many people didn’t have it and it isn’t cheap!
the item i have in my portfolio are made with ps cs5 and indesign cs5, and they were accepted… only illustrator give the possibility to save with previous versions. but still there isn’t written CS5 in the “minimun adobe version”

InDesign isn’t backwards compatible?!?
You can’t open CS5 .indd files with anything other than InDesign CS5 …

Some InDesign files can be opened with CS4 , but you need an .inx file (pretty sure that’s the files extension name).
As for CS5 use in the marketplaces, this has been covered before in other threads

I think if you Test your file first in CS4 and/or CS3 – you could upload them if you state that the files’ been tested in those versions.

Oh yes that’s correct but I hear InDesign Xchange files have big limitations. I was thinking pure indd.
