Sure, since that’s the point of QrCode. QrCodes are made to be read by mobile phones. If your mobile phones doesn’t have one, you can download kaywa QrCode Reader (Java).
I’ll give you an example: Qrcode in the street, read it to get the street name.
Another Cool example is an app for android that create Qrcode for each app. If you want to install an app that is already installed in your friend phone, just scan the qrcode 
Lot of usability, Qrcode are also known to store more information that the usual barcode.
