Im a newbie
.. Helppppp!
WoW… it is BRILLIANT ! Really great work! You can’t improve this. You can only ruin it. .. lol.. Don’t worry, they rejected all my work too and I am also newbie. They have their “reasons” to reject some good stuff… I’m not gonna get into it because it’s too obvious… I really think this work is simply brilliant…an ART . How did you do that? White brush on black background + style/chrome or something like that? Can you send me little tutorial for this at koko007@net.hr ? I’ll be really thankful!
Great work dude, don’t give up yet!
No need to change/improve a single detail to main element, but I think that the black background ruins it. Try to make a background that is water or glass related so that it blends in well with your main element. Also try to make your preview image more eye catching, with some details and descriptions, but use some creative fonts and not just the basic ones…A good presentation/commercial of your work, can draw a customer more easily to buy it.
There you go, just some constructive criticism!
Good luck…
I actualy really love black background. It makes it more mystic and even more resistless. I would like to print that and put it on my wall beside my bedroom.
I like simple and “clean” graphics as well, but that REALLY isn’t something Envato is looking for right now, cause there are too many graphics like that here already…At the moments, the standards are very high so you will have to brows around on the marketplace for a while to see what they are actually looking for…
...Everyone can take the paint bucket tool and make a black background in one click, you need to make a style, add some pattern overlays, gradients…Mix and Match it in a unique way and maybe add some more elements…
Don’t rush it, I see a great background in here, but I think it needs some more time… Also, rejections will help you improve, that is a fact, just don’t give up!
I really don’t want to be harsh, rude or pointing finger, but I’ve seen some truly repulsive and bad designs here accepted in last few days, while some great designs like this are being again and again rejected. And I don’t talk about my designs even though I’m rejected 5 times in a row. I always take into consideration that I can’t be enough objective about my work, but I can be objective about this. I also see some very simple, bad and useless designs to be accepted. Ofcourse, I see some truly brilliant designs to be accepted, but stil.. it all seems quite odd to me.
I don’t think this seahorse is simple to do at all… it’s actualy enough complicated to do and we don’t talk only about black background alone because that ain’t reason why this work is so great. It’s great as a whole imho.
I went to graphic high school, then to textile faculty and after that I finished seminars for graphic and web designer. I’m also pretty good at drawing portraits, so, even if I’m only still a pupil to many things and I have much to learn yet, I think that I have enough good eye to recognize good stuff and this is good stuff no matter how simple or complicated is.
This is amazing..
Write a tutorial on it & submit to psd.tutsplus..
Thanks alot for the suggestions every1 !... Ya gues i shudnt giv up yet… Wil try modifying the background .. and the preview… hmm.. gues there’s alot of free space in the black background which mite b t cause for rejections.. anyways lets improve thru this marketplace
One silly doubt though.. when u make something in 300dpi and save for web, it seems to change to 72 dpi
..??

I think that for web you must save it in RGB mode in 72 dpi. It could be that computer automaticaly change it into 72 dpi from 300 dpi (not sure about that).
In 300 dpi ready for print it should be saved into CMYK mode.
