Are there any tutorials on how to create that polygon look? In Photoshop, Illustrator or even After Effects? I want to learn on how to make this effect, exspecially in logos.

Thanks.

Make them by hand (eg. in Photoshop), for nothing beats that.

I have GIMP .

Filters > Distorts > Mosaic

Make a new layer, fill it with any colour and then go to the above filter and change the “Tiling primitives” to triangles or hexagons and keep the “Tile neatness” around 0.50

Overlay this layer onto the image you want to have this effect or use the filter on the image itself.

Or if you are a 3d enthusiast… You could work with a mesh object, create an uber contrasty lighting setup.. And simply manipulate the vertices of a low-poly model. But that is tooooo complex.. It’s easier to draw by hand.

Cheers !

Poly for iPad is the cheapest way out. Here’s an example with Poly: http://polygon.com/. The real technology is called the Delaunay Raster, developed here: http://jonathanpuckey.com/projects/delaunay-raster/.
