Sorry if this has been discussed before, but if it has I can’t find it.

Can users delete their own comments they’ve left on an item listed in a marketplace?

It seems like a no-brainer option but I can’t figure it out and I don’t see any discussion about it. Can anyone tell me if it’s possible and, if so, how to do it?

Thanks.

You can report them after which they will get checked by moderators.

That makes sense. Thanks for the quick reply.

In general, it’s not possible. Reporting should really only be done in case of offence or harmful posts. When you report your own post for the sake of deleting, it could very well get unflagged after being looked at and not considered harmful.

If you want your post edited (with a valid reason) after the edit button has disappeared, send me a message. Moderators cannot delete posts, though – that only happens in the serious cases and has to be done by staff.

EDIT : See sevenspark’s reply below ;)

I believe blairwarren is referring to Item Comments, not forum posts :) That’s why the only recourse is flagging in that case.

Oh, oops, now that you mention it and I re-read the original post, I guess you’re right. My bad! :bashful:
