Good morning all -

I just received a soft rejection for my first upload to Graphicriver, which was a logo design. I am however a bit puzzled about the feedback I got, being “Please make the font editable”. I’ve been googling and found a thread about this on the forums here at http://graphicriver.net/forums/thread/how-to-create-editable-text-in-a-eps-/50224.

I wasn’t sure if this is the same issue since the author of that topic stated he had a soft rejection due to “Text editable”. However – I did do everything as stated in that topic; the text is not outlined, and I did embed fonts in the EPS .

When I open the files in Illustrator, everything is editable to me. Can anyone please further advise me on how to solve this? How do I best test this to be sure I don’t have this happen in the future anymore?

Thanks all.

It could be that the file is an EPS but is marked as a PSD in the upload.

What type of stuff is it? Logo template?

you have to keep the text as the user or purchaser can edit or change it as they want. In illustrator The text must be editable by the “Type Tool”.

Hope they talking about that.. best of luck :)

Hi Guys -

thanks for your replies, much appreciated.

@WonderArt – It’s indeed a logo template, all text is done in Illustrator using the type tool.

@MythicThemes – I’ve just checked my zip-file, it’s all marked as either .ai or .eps in there.

I’ve been trying all kinds of things, but can’t seem to find anything that makes any difference. Would you guys mind telling me which settings you use when save/exporting the file?

Thanks again.

By marked I’m referring to the settings within the file upload area.

Category & Attributes > Graphics Files Included

That could be your problem …

Thanks for your reply – I checked it and it was all marked as it should be. I start to wonder if this could just be an issue with the font, as it’s the first time I used it. I might try to redo the logo with another font.

Hi,

I guess your text includes gradients?

They are not editable in eps.
