It seems that I cannot access custom post type categories from the Widget class. I think I am doing a mistake.
If anyone can point me in the right direction, it would help alot.

Did you try with WP_Query ?:) And add a query reset before the widget query and after?

I didn’t want to use WP_Query at first, but after some research I guess thats the only option.
ps, I tried to use get_terms but didn’t work.
