Last night a Friend Registered on the Marketplaces using my Referral Link.

It doesn’t show in my Dashboard Earnings Page as a new signup.

Is something wrong?

If he has visited a marketplace before he used your referral link it won’t count as a referral.

Well that’s kind of lame.

So, If I show a client the Marketplaces on their computer, then later they use my Link – it won’t count?

That’s like saying “there’s a nice store, look around, here’s a coupon go over there” – Sorry that coupon isn’t good anymore because you’ve seen this before.

It’s possible that he visited the site through another link in the last 3 months, which makes the Cookies remembers his first visit as may be related to another user.

So the thing to do when actually being there with a client or friend is to empty the cache and clear the Envato cookies?

Then We/I could get credit for the referral?

because I have situations where I tell people to look at my items and sign up using the Referral Link.

place utm_nooverride=1

that will make it so it overrides the original source.

Hi Graphic-Studio,

is a user visits the site by their own doing, they haven’t been ‘referred’ so they are cookied to say they found the site themselves, meaning your referral won’t count.
