Hey everyone,
Thanks to Erin’s hard work we’ve updated a lot of the backend code that indexes all our data for search. You should be seeing more relevant results from the search box immediately.
This upgrade, while it doesn’t look like a lot, lays the groundwork for a bunch of new improvements and features for our search system. Expect to see a lot of changes in search and browsing over the upcoming months.
As this is a brand new system there’s a very good chance there will be bugs and other little issues, please post any feedback you’ve got here.
Sounds good
Lets test it out!
Works better indeed, good job guys!

Yes it works better .. What features do you guys plan on adding? We would love to see the possibility to order the search results(sales, price, name, etc..)
hmm.. if you search for menu 2 of the 3 featured results are site templates…
also are the now sorted by old to new? looks that way.

The featured results are simply the most popular results that match your query. Those site templates are very popular so they are 2 of the 3 popular items.

I think so, for example searching with the keyword “portfolio” , my template (that is in the top 15) is in second page

Nice update.
A cool thing will be some kind of system that prevents users that have many files that do the same thing to appear multiple times(too many) in the results. More diverse users is better. Because a user can link to his other files trough one item page, like.. suggested items…
ezza, yes but is that not a bit pointless? surely it should show the top 3 most popular menus? otherwise site templates are always going to be at the top for lots of search terms.
old to new is fine, but you really need search order buttons like on the category pages.

+1 This really hacks me off seeing irrelevant top selling files here when they’re not what I was searching for…

+1 Being able to list them by Actionscript Version is a must
Also, the search box on the home page is broken(ish), you need to rearrange the categories, it looks a mess
Otherwise, look forward to more and more features
