Today I’d like to go over how to properly create titles for your design submissions. Most users on here are not very SEO savy and don’t really understand how it works. I’ve been doing SEM & SEO for over 10 years now. I’m Google Adwords & Analytics Certified with a ton of real world experience.

Lets get started!

When creating the title for your submission, think about what users might type into search engines to find what they are looking for. This is key when driving targeted traffic to your product pages through SERP (search engine results pages). Also, I find it best to always have this in mind when creating your design as well. Think about if someone is going to be searching for what you are creating. If so, then you are already on the right track of driving traffic to your pages through SEO .

Example Keyword Search Term:

“Alien Logo Template”

I have two products that are designed around aliens. The title of my products are as follows:

  • Alien Digital Marketing Logo
  • Alien Social Media Marketing Logo

The title tag of one of my products is as follows:

  • Logo Templates – Alien Digital Marketing Logo | GraphicRiver

Notice how the words “logo templates” are already within the title tag? So it’s not necessary to add the word “template” within your product, as that is already dynamically placed within your title tag. Envato does a great job of this, because they know people who are interested in finding a logo will search for “logo template.”

If you go to Google and type in “Alien Logo Template” both of my products are sitting at position 2 & 3. This is great, because I will gain more exposure this way. Most of my products are within the first page of Google, because I make sure the titles are created in a way that people will find them easily within SERP pages.

This goes for all of your designs and not just the logo section of the site. I hope that you can take this information and use it for your next upload.

Until next time!

Lance, Is there a way to rename our preview image once it’s been uploaded?

I was thinking it would be a great idea to give users the ability to completely edit the Meta Title & Descriptions of their products.

This way we can test to see which titles & descriptions are working and which ones are not.

ABT ! Always Be Testing!

I think that would be a great addition for Authors!

This is great stuff.

But the most impressive thing is the fact that if you Google for “Alien Logo Template”, this post is first in place. 8)

I will try my hardest to make them easy for other authors out there. Unfortunately, SEO can be very time consuming, but if you continue to market your products you will be successful with getting more sales.
