Hi guys,

I’v been working for along time to create a first theme to sell. I have more experiences but this would be first theme to sell and that is why I tried to make some options, main things for customers that I will also use in future.

The thing is that, after a long time I uploaded and it has been rejected in a few hours. Little bit ridiculous.

I cannot explained how destroyed I am.

Why on the earth a theme would be rejected with no detailed explanations? Just saying this is not a good theme and it is rejected. That is it? How is possible to learn how to improve with seing these kind of explanations?

They do the same thing in activeden as well. I have some accepted stuff but sometimes just saying “rejected, bla bla”

What is that?

So, can you please give me some feedbacks . I am quite sure that I’ven less improved themes here.

http://theme1.wopre.com

Thanks.

Have you at the theme through a mobile device?

On the iPad It looks weird, elements bleed off the edge and others look odd on the page

Throw some colour at it to start

Then look at spacing and typography. More space needed for sure

Id say at the present its way off what I’d expect on TF, from a reviewers point of view it would be hard to give you direction as quite a few elements just look below par

Defo a good base to work with so don’t feel too disheartened and stick with it for sure

Thanks for reply

I checked on iphone and ipad as well, it is not responsive but not weird too. Exactly same as computer browsers.

What is the most important thing in themeforest to be accepted? Design, tools? options? If you say all, I cannot agree with it because of seeing some accepted themes.

It is not about being heartened, just I spend my time and it is so easy to reject for them.

I guess , sometimes it is better to have our own theme store rather than uploading here. Like elegant themes do.

Maybe I just need to sleep on it, but I do not feel that I can work on this theme anymore.

Cheers.

Let’s not compare ET with your design, you’re far from even one of their average themes, sorry.

Your theme looks like a free one..and even if you release it for free, it would still place in the “Average” category of free themes, there’s quite a lot of work and things to improve in order to raise its status.

You may work one year on it, the reviewer doesn’t accept/reject themes based on how much you work on it, but how good it is.

This is Et’s first theme http://www.elegantthemes.com/demo/?theme=/ but I do not compare. That was just an idea. If we compare, there are lots of themes here that cannot be compared with elegant themes.

The thing that I wanted to mention is , there is no details to have a guideline to improve it. Nobody know why it was rejected. Just writing some saved emails. That is it.

I’m not a designer and still see SO MANY things that are wrong

The borders are extremely ugly on all the images, the controller navigation circles are too big, the color & hover color on the read more(blue? with orange? Not a chance) look very ugly, the quote area looks so generic, it looks like a 2006 website

the 3 services area is again, very generic and it looks pretty bad.

The dropdown menu looks ugly from my point of view.

In the Sliders page, the images are broken. The pagination links color & hover color are again..orange & red? Previously we had blue, now orange, red…Is this a rainbow?

On Author / Team Boxes there’s no shadow in the left part of the box…and overally the shadow / background makes the box look pretty bad.

On the tabbed content, remove the space between the tabs.

On the contact page, at least on my screen, the contact form fields are not visible, they’re transparent.

On the full width page, there’s just the title and the content? Add a comment section, some meta info like the author, the date, number of comments, etc.

On the left sidebar page the text is bold. Definitely a bad practice to make the whole text bold. Same with the right sidebar.

The sitemap looks horrible, there’s no alignment, you just threw some lists there and that’s all, just to make one extra page template.

This are some VERY GENERAL aspects I noticed at 3:48AM, this looks VERY unprofessional, there’s no way this will get accepted to the marketplaces without some big improvement. And I’m a developer and not a designer, a reviewer / designer will probably notice lots more issues.

Same here dude… Just upload my first theme and get hard rejected with no detailed explanation. I think we should just take this hard rejection in a more positive ways. I see many other guy on this forum said that they need to re-upload their theme (after improvements) 5-10 times before it finally gets approved.

:)
