Hi all,
Something strange happened in the review process of one of my items today which I don’t quite understand:
1) my latest Facebook timeline got accepted yesterday. Great!
But I realised I made a small alignment mistake in the preview image
2) immediately I resubmitted an updated preview image with a minor fix. I clearly stated that this was merely a small update to the preview image in my message to the reviewer.
3) for the Resubmission of the preview image I get a rejection mail with the following:
We have a lot of Facebook Timeline Covers at the moment and whilst this is quite unique we still can’t approve due to that it’s not offering anything out of the ordinary.
How does that work? My item was already approved! (and it is still on sale now) I just needed to move a couple of images on the preview a few pixels to the left. Why would that be rejected?
Also do I have to consider myself lucky because the first reviewer accepted my file but the second would not have? That makes me feel a little insecure about rejection/acceptance criteria! Especially since both reviewers are long-standing and respected members of this community.
The second reviewer is actually quite active in the forum so, “reviewer”, if you see this maybe a quick explanation?
And lastly, what do I have to do to get my previous image updated. As I said I only need to nudge a couple of images a few pixels – try simply resubmit? Or would that qualify as resubmission of a rejected item without any change?
Many thanks
Chris

It happened to me once, and here is what I did, just click edit on the item page, and write to the reviewer explaining the oversight.
There shouldn’t be any problems.

Sounds like a simple mistake. As far as I am aware (don’t hold me to this) GR Reviews are human
Try resubmitting. You’re not resubmitting an ‘item’ without any changes, so there should be no trouble.
Of course they are, and there is no grudge here by any means! I just didn’t know what to make of that rejection message … I’m glad it happened on the preview image update, and not on the item submission … cost that would’ve been two weeks of work down the drain, hehe
I have resubmitted the preview image update.
Cheers
Chris
P.S.: Damn, I knew I would get it wrong, I wasn’t sure whether to post in GR or “items discussion” Forum – borderline case – lol
Maybe this happened

im just kidding xD
I know the hard work reviewers do

LOL
It’s ok to reject work when reviewer is that tired .. we must have some compassion for reviewers XD
BTW , chrisatlemon, I was looking at your designs and I think they’re brilliant and really professional! I especialy like brochures and vintage badges. It’s obvious that you have a lot of knowledge, talent and experience. Great stuff!
Happened to mudi too: http://graphicriver.net/forums/thread/strange-rejection/64228
Lol … his is even funnier
A bit worrying though because it seems my item got accepted out of pure luck. Had the second reviewer reviewed it, it would not have been accepted. That would have been two weeks of work for nothing, on what I think is actually a nice little file.
And I’ve already made 2 sales in the first 12 hours of it being online, which for me is pretty fast.
Had the second reviewer got there first I’d have no sales, and two weeks of work lost.
Of course everybody is entitled to their opinion and reviewers opinions will differ, of course the reviewers are doing a great job, of course they are right in the great majority of files they review … but still, I feel that today has been a bit of a lottery, and I’m not sure I feel so great that by pure luck today I won … cos I know how I’ll feel when the next rejections comes through … (which I have to admit I’ve had very few of … but is that because I did great work or is it because I got lucky?) Hmmmm….
Cheers
