Theme rejection - need feedback

Hello, My HTML theme was rejected with the following explanation

“[...]The overall design quality of your submission does not meet our standard requirements and should only be resubmitted after being significantly improved. [...]”

I’d be gratefull for feedback on the design and any tips how it could be improved! Thanks.

2 Quick Fix from my side:

Remove the noise textured background or if you want some noise effect so please reduce more when it comes to subtle background.

2nd – the post detail black gradient background please remove it. Or try some thing more unique.

I do not think you are far off – it is a nice looking theme. I would agree with Webdesignerart’s comments PLUS I would add a portfolio and/or gallery type feature to broaden appeal and maybe create a home page that is a little more general rather than just containing bog posts with alt sliders.

I appreicate it is base don a gaming site and they often feature specific styles but to be successful here you have to include the type of content that will appeal to many people.

As always try to find something unique and different to off/make it look more than what is already here.

Thank You for the advice! You’re probably right, that I sholud create more appealing home page.

I wouldn’t be too downhearted – you have a great start there (actually more than a start), it is just at that point like a few themes where it need polishing and developing to make it stand out.

It is a great site. I would tell them [edited by mod: language] and learn to sell your templates using PPC . These guys are making huge money off this stuff. Lucky they have so many ignorant talented people who can’t take their game to the next level and learn marketing.
