Envato should introduce a “buyer update” email, where we Authors could “notify” all buyers about specific updates to the items they have purchased.
Here’s an example:
Facebook has increased it’s profile pic size, hence, all timeline covers which have been purchased by them will be ” offset / weird”, which may prompt the buyer to come back and give a poor rating to the item. Some may argue by saying that “you can mention the update on the item page and when the buyer visits the page to re-rate, he will see the update”. The buyer doesn’t need to visit the item page to rate as the rating appears in the downloads tab only.
Now this is only a facebook item, but updates may be necessary across different items too.
An update email (or anything) will be a nice way to establish a good relationship with the buyer.

I agree with you . . .

Yep, I definitely agree with that.

Sounds good.
I’d rather have this than have the new WP toolkit they introduced on TF for a few reasons:
1) If a user makes edits to a WP theme, and then does the auto updates, they lose those edits.
2) many buyers are just ‘flipping’ the themes and using them for a client project, which the client may or may not know. So we need a way to notify the buyer, not necessarily the end user.
